A minimalist wayfinding scheme
Located in London’s financial district, 40 Leadenhall comprises two high-rise towers and a central atrium surrounding the Grade II listed Billiter Building.
The brief called for a wayfinding system that complemented the building’s architecture—particularly the striking “flutes” that define the ground-floor interiors—while ensuring the design remained understated and elegant.
To develop a cohesive approach, we conducted a visual audit, drawing inspiration from the site’s blend of historic and contemporary architecture. This led to the central theme of “contrast,” seamlessly merging old with new and rough with sleek.
