Rejuvenating a wild oasis
A commission for Lewisham council to rejuvenate and brighten up a storage container in a hidden nature reserve. I decided to paint something that would blend with the surroundings in Spring and Summer and give a cheery pop of colour in colder months. the leaves in the mural are all based on tree species found in the reserve.
Originally a train line leading to Deptford, this island of nature has now been set up as a protected piece of land and allowed to grow wild.
The storage container was in a sad state and had to be taken back to raw metal and primed before I could add my artwork. The leaves wrap around all 4 sides of the container.
